|aAggression and anger have been widely examined in a variety of social and experimental contexts. Their presence in sports have given way to much debate. The current study attempted to examine the aggression differences between athletes and a population in which the presence of aggression is less contentious, violent offenders. Sixty-six adolescents were available for participation (33 offenders and 33 athletes). Results indicated that athletes report less aggression and anger than do offenders. Additionally, results indicated factors that predict physical aggression is different between groups. Implications are discussed.
