Mary E. Guy is a professor of public administration at the University of Colorado Denver. Her work focuses on the human processes involved in public service delivery. Her recent books include Achieving Social Equity: From Problems to Solutions, the Palgrave Handbook of Global Perspectives on Emotional Labor in Public Service, Essentials of Public Service, and Public Administration Evolving. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and past president of the American Society for Public Administration.
Jessica E. Sowa is a professor in the Joseph R. Biden Jr. School of Public Policy & Administration at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on public and nonprofit management with an emphasis on human resources and organizational effectiveness. Her recent books include Organizational Behavior: Real Research for Public and Nonprofit Managers and the Nonprofit Human Resource Management Handbook: From Theory to Practice. She is the editor-in-chief of the Review of Public Personnel Administration.
