A presentation of analysis procedures for more than 20 kinds of qualitative research in the principal social science disciplines. For both structural and interpretational analysis, the author distinguishes between conceptual and mechanical tasks in order to clarify the role of the computer. In this book six specialized qualitative analysis programs are introduced in detail, and several others are briefly described, in addition to database managers and text retrievers. The software covers the entire range from linguistic, event structure and content analysis to ethnography and phenomenology.
