Introducing Persons aims to bring the reader to think about some of the most central and interesting issues in the philosophy of the mind. Some of the topics include: the problem of other minds; arguments both for and against the existence of the soul; a discussion of the bundle-theory of the mind; behaviorism; functionalism; mind/brain identity; personal identity; and the possibility of after-life. Throughout, the emphasis is on the arguments for and against the various theories considered, with readers also being encouraged to criticize for themselves.
