Kelsey Mann is the director of Inside Out 2. He started at Pixar Animation Studios in 2009 and was the story supervisor on the 2013 feature film Monsters University Mann also contributed to the production of the Academy Awarde-winning feature Toy Story 3. He was soon tapped to direct the Monsters University short film Party Central and also to be the story supervisor on The Good Dinosaur and Onward. Prior to Pixar, Mann held a variety of positions in animation, storyboarding., and directing for companies such as Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., and Lucasfilm Animation. Inside Out 2 is his feature-length directorial debut.

Pete Docter is the executive producer of Disney and Pixar's Inside Out 2. Docter is the Academy Awarde- winning director of Monsters, Inc.; Up; Inside Out; and Soul and chief creative officer at Pixar Animation Studios. After studying character animation at California Institute of the Arts, Docter started at Pixar in 1990 as the studio's third animator. He collaborated on and helped develop the story and characters for Toy Story, Pixar's first full-length animated feature film, for which he also was supervising animator. Docter has won three Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards, and a spatula from a home gardening contest at Ace Hardware.
