The timeless charm of old-style wooden toys emerges from every page of this paper pop-up. Simple shapes and vivid colors bring classic toys such as the red fire truck, the baby bassinet, and the farmer's tractor to life.

Through the voice of a young child full of imagination, each toy is given a storyline. At the end of the day, the child bids goodnight to all the toys scattered across the bedroom, promising to pick them up tomorrow.

Gerard Lo Monaco's talent with paper is used to create an ingenious three-dimensional world of toys presented through endearing vignettes dreamt up by a child's creative mind. Lively onomatopoeias add playfulness to every page, making it fun to read this pop-up book aloud while turning its pages.

Gerard Lo Monaco is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before founding his own graphic design agency called Les Associes Reunis in Paris in 1995, he was involved in the creation of a circus, a puppet-making company, and a wooden-horse merry-go-round—all of which toured throughout France. In parallel, he designed album covers and posters for which he was awarded a prestigious prize from the Musee des Arts Decoratifs de Paris.
