內容簡介top The School Leadership Playbook 簡介 When a new leader enters a school, her first order of business must be diagnosing the current state of academics and culture in the school and creating an action plan for the year ahead. An accurate diagnosis is the only way to create a plan that will work. By matching the needs of the school to effective principal actions and school practices, school leaders can create a plan that will push the schools ?and student achievement ?to the next level.New Leaders developed their Transformational Leadership Framework (TLF) to help education leaders understand exactly what schools achieving breakthrough gains are doing and enable leaders to replicate their success. The TLF is grounded in the latest research on the practices of effective schools, turnaround schools, secondary schools, and leadership; as well as over 100 visits and case studies of schools that were identified after achieving dramatic gains. The TLF focuses on five categories of school practices. Among them, there are two primary drivers of student achievement: rigorous goal- and data-drivenlearning and teaching and achievement- and belief-based schoolwide culture. Two additional categories of a principal work are essential to supporting these drivers: building and managing a high-qualityaligned staff to the school vision and instituting operations and systems to put the vision into place. Undergirding all of these categories is thepersonal leadership modeled by a principal who sets the tone for all student and adult relationships and practices in the school. Each of the five categories is divided into a set of Key Levers, highlighting essential practices for school leaders. The School Leadership Playbook helps education leaders see the transformative success necessary to drive significant gains in student achievement and close the achievement gap.
