　　他寫童書，畫童書，也玩小提琴。學生時代本打算當醫生，最後因為對文學和畫畫的熱情，他決定轉當藝術家。著有多本廣受好評的童書繪本，目前住在紐約市。
　　CHRIS RASCHKA has written and/or illustrated over 30 books for children, including The Purple Balloon, called "deceptively simple and beautifully direct" by Kirkus Reviews.
