This textbook teaches the knowledge and skills necessary for assessing physical fitness in four areas: cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular fitness, body weight/composition, and flexibility. It is aimed at exercise students in advanced professional courses dealing with physical fitness appraisal and exercise prescription. Although some field tests are covered, the emphasis is on laboratory techniques for assessment.
