Developing Person-Centered Counseling contains 30 sections, organized into six categories, each of which will help the practicing therapist improve his or her skills within the person-centered approach. The author examines crucial areas such as the therapeutic alliance and process, the development of the counselor, and the person-centered perspective in relation to psychopathology. Each of the sections presents novel--and frequently controversial--material, all of which encourages therapists to think carefully about their work and how it can be improved. This volume is likely to spark debate, and will be of great heuristic value as well as practical relevance to person-centered practitioners.
